Cool Peel and DEKA Resurfacing

It is essential to book a consultation to discuss the many facial resurfacing lasers that we offer. 

Cool Peel- This is a 2-3 day downtime procedure that is the Gold Standard in facial treatments, targeting tone and texture issues. We can target specific areas such as jowls, crow's feet, acne scars, current acne, and red and brown pigments within the skin. Cool Peel technology is good for all skin types. It targets wrinkles, age spots, acne scars, blemishes and tightens and balances tone. This laser targets the superficial layers of the skin, revealing young and refreshed skin, with a much lower downtime than traditional C02 lasers. 

Contraindications include pregnancy, poor/weak immune systems, uncontrolled diabetes, HTN, recent sun exposure, herpes, photosensitizing medications, open wounds. 

IMPORTANT: It is essential to remain hydrated in the weeks prior to your appointment, and to use a good moisturizer and hyaluronic acid daily. This laser is attracted to the water molecules within the skin. Please take the time to invest in your skin health! Avoid retinols and sun exposure for 1-2 weeks prior to appointment. Alert provider for a history of herpes. 

Downtime consists of 2-3 days of redness and flaking. No working out or makeup for 48 hours post treatment. No fillers or toxin 4 weeks prior and 4 weeks after. No sun exposure 1-2 weeks prior, and 4 weeks post. Remember to wear sunscreen daily and protect your new skin! 3 treatments may be required to achieve desired results. 

Aftercare: Wash face daily with a gentle cleanser, pat dry. Apply vaseline or aquafor multiple times daily. Start wearing SPF under vaseline on day 2. Avoid makeup for 48-72 hours. Keep area clean, avoid excessive heat and exercise for 2 weeks. Keep area clean and moist. Change pillow case frequently. Avoid harsh scrubs or exfoliants. Can use 1 tbsp white vinegar to 1 cup of water for gauze soaks to help with any itch. 

DEKA Laser Resurfacing:

This is your traditional C02 Laser treatment with 5 to 10 days of downtime depending on depth! We can treat deeper lines and more mature skin. This is a fractional C02 laser, meaning it has newer technology, to resurface a fraction of your skin, without causing severe burns and weeks long downtime. This is the most effective procedure to improve skin quality and texture and reduce moderate to severe wrinkles. It also increases collagen stimulation. We can also use this on the hands, neck and chest. 

This is not for those with melasma, as it may darken with heat. It has the same contraindications as the CoolPeel. It is not recommended for those with rosacea or inflammatory skin conditions such as psoriasis, or other autoimmune diseases such as lupus or MS.
